The ever present, negative and prevasive messages about people of color create internalized superiority for dominant culture people and internalized inferiority for those who are visually & quickly identified as “other.” This workshop series is for people of color to identify unconscious thinking about ourselves and others of color that separates us and helps perpetuate systemic racism.

SEATTLE TALKS
We need you! See our Blog: http://seattletalks.blogspot.com to be part of the discussion.

The Japanese American Citizens League Seattle Chapter, with the help of a generous gift from the Massena Foundation, has gathered together individuals and community organizations to begin their Seattle Talks workshop series. This will be a series of day-long trainings that focus on internalized racism among Asian/Pacific Americans and other communities of color. The goal of these trainings is to host robust conversations around internalized racism and how it affects our community organizing.

If you or your organization would like to co-sponsor one of these events, please contact Yuh-line Niou, Seattle Chapter Board member atyuhline@gmail.com. For more information please read the sponsorship letter and respond accordingly.
